sorry i've been lax on updating this, but we arrived in Cairns on the 7th of july. we booked to stay there for 5 days but in hindsight we wouldn't have stayed there that long, it was a great place but there wasn't muych to do unless you're madfe of money- which we're really not! but its a gorgeous place, had a nice lagoon but no beach so me and jim spent a lot of time reading. got really bad bed bugs from the hostel and had to spend $30 on drugs to make me better...
