Queenstown is a really cool place, it reminds me of a ski village. Its definately the place to go out and party and do any crazy adventure activity you can think of! The bars are open very late....not a good idea to stay in them until they close and then have to be on a bus at 7.30!! Although I didn't really learn from the first time and decided it was a good idea to do it again when we got back to Queenstown when we got back there after we had been to Dunedin, Te Anau and Milford Sound. In one of the bars met two people from Bournemouth, one who I'd met in Dunedin and one who I worked with about 2 years ago! The views from anywhere in Queenstown were amazing as you can see from the photos and from our hostel you can see all the skydivers and parachutists which was cool. I attempted the canyon swing but I was too scared to go through with it, I managed to hang over the canyon but couldn't bring myself to say yes so they released me. Now really wish I had done it but its a lot easier to say when your on solid ground!!!
