The Franz Josef glacier was fantastic and very scary at times especially when your as clumsy as I am !! We got special hiking boots that we attached spikes to so we didn't slip and our own ice picks. Queenstown is a really cool place, it reminds me of a ski village. Its definately the place to go out and party and do any crazy adventure activity you can think of! Wow - went white water rafting this morning in Grade 5 rapids. It was so much fun. The river was freezing but we had to go in so we knew what it was like to swim in rapids in case we capsized further down the river! We managed to avoid turning over completely - just.
