So back from the Galapagos Islands, one of the most amazing places I have been to in the world !! We have seen so much in the eight days we spent on the islands all of them unique and different from each other and with an abundance of wildlife !!! On the first day we flew in to the Island of Baltra, we got picked up by a representative from Gadventures and was taken to the harbor a short bus ride from the airport. Met up with the Gadventures group today, as I got to Quito too late to attend the info meeting last night. We got up really early to go to the airport, everybody seem as exited as me to see the islands - just can´t wait and my expectations are REALLY high !!!

Montanita - such a contrast to Guayaquil, small chilled out beach town. Lots of hippies, surfers and backpackers a really nice beach and not much else .... Had to get up really early to leave though, going all the way to Quito ... people where still out partying when I walked to the bus stop. Sat at the bus stop kinda sleepy, some locals where waiting for the bus as well. They asked where I was going and I said Guayaquil ( had to change there to get to Quito) th...

So on to Guayaquil, a big busy city with a really nice park / boardwalk along the river though and a park with Iguanas. Got a haircut - turned out to be a little challenging explaining how I wanted it done in spanish !! In the end I think she just cut it the way she figured it should look- turned out alright though :o)

So arrived in Cuenca and instantly liked it, by far the nicest city I have seen so far !!! I seems that every corner you turn, there is one more lovely church, beautifull old colonial building or just a charming little cobblestone street ....
