Hiya! Snorkelling yesterday was amazing! Our boat left Cairns at 8.30am it took us about 2 hours to get out to the reef, we had safety talks and stuff on the way, then we all got our snorkels fins and stinger suits and in we went. The sea was really choppy and i kept choking on salt water going down my pipe so we had a quick swim round and then got back on the boat for lunch, after lunch the sea had calmed a little so i went back in for another swim. There where loads of gorgeous fish and boss coral it really was beautiful and considering the weather the visibility was quite good! We where out on the boat all day. we didnt get back till 4.30pm. It was a really good day. There has been a cyclone lurking around Cairns since we got here, thats whats causing the bad weather, apparently while we where on the noat it hit land and although it was nowhere near as bad as had been expected there is another one on the way! Lets hope we can get out of here before that one comes!

White water rafting was cancelled today, there is too much water in the rivers making it too dangerous, a bit of a bummer but we can do it in New Zealand instead, we got our money back! So today iv just been chilling really, iv finished another good book, had a wander taken some more pics whicjh i will hopefully get on now. Gemma has been getting her hair cut and coloured!

Its an early start tomorrow for the flight to the Hamilton Islands, from there we get a ferry to Airlie beach where we get on the boat that we will spend the next 2 days sailing around the Whitsunday Islands on. I have never had an over night stay on a boat before, that will be an adventure. I hope the weather is better there, it is forecast to be nice!
