Hi! Im in Airlie Beach right now, Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, yesterday we got back from a 2 night sailing trip around the Whitsunday’s, it was amazing. We went on a boat called Habibi, one of the cheaper boats but it was fantastic. We left on friday afternoon and sailed out to a nice spot where we had dinner and a few drinks on the boat and then most people got an early night the first night, I slept up on the deck looking at the stars, it was gorgeous. The next morning we all went to land iv forgotten the name of the beach but it was gorgeous, really fine white sand and crystal clear water, we sunbathed for a couple of hours and then got back on the boat to go to a good reef site for a snorkel, seen some good fish n coral. We then got on the boat again and moved to a different site. Oh my go it was boss, i saw a turtle and some huge fish, im talking almost as big as me, i was soo scared but fascinated at the same time, these huge fish were so graceful and tame! There where also lots and lots of colorful and beautiful smaller fish, i wish i had bought an underwater camera. There where a nice couple on our boat who had a fancy digital underwater camera, their pics where just fab, hopefully they are going to email a copy of the pics to every1 so i will b able to show you what i saw if that goes to plan! We did lots of snorkeling sunbathing eating and drinking, saw a couple of good sun sets etc. The second night on the boat was a crazy one, i didnt go to bed until 4am, we had a toga party, everyone was wrapped up in their bed sheets playing drinking games and having a laugh! It was an amazing trip. We had a little after party last night in the Magnus hostel in Airlie beach. It was all good, not a single complaint! Today we are waiting around a bit, we have a 14 hour overnight bus journey tonight to Rainbow beach where we go on our Fraser Island adventure. A few people from the sailing trip had already done Fraser Island and said it was brilliant, so im looking forward to that! Gemma has been here for over a week already, it going really quick!
