Day 1, 19th Januray

Arrived at Bel aire princess hotel around 6pm ish after an hour and half q at immigration. Building work across the road had finished so no noise hotel really nice but don't think we should get used to the standard as hostels i'm sure will be worse!!!

Sampled the thai food plenty of rice and noodles on the menu at the Heinekin bar yummy and very very cheap. So far in 3 days we have only spent 4000 bhat around 45 quid such a bargain!! Ordered a couple of cosmo's but not what the SATC girls would enjoy made with lemons instead of lime so gross, sooo moved on to the hippy bar which is actually a vw van parked on the pavement (so cool emma you would have loved it!) got rather drunk drinking buckets of cocktails so much better.

Got back to our hotel for our complimentary drinks and invited a couple to sit with us however whilst they were sharing there wisdom of Bangkok I did my normal trick of falling asleep apparently....haha.

Day 2, 20th January

Today we went to explore and see if we could find the Kho san rd.....didn't find what we were looking for but stubbled across the Condoms and Cabbages resturant a funny place with statues of Captain Condom and decorations made out of Condoms but no oddly no cabbages insight.

After a long walk back to the hotel we thought we'd relax by the roof top pool and even with the noise of the building work being pretty loud we both managed to have a nap think the sun lounger was more comfortable the the slab the hotel call a bed lol.

Thought we take it easy on the drinking so went to Mambo show on evening my first experience of the ladyboys bit low buget though as some of the men had hairy legs and no boob job haha worth seeing though! Went back to the hotel getting into the lift was a man holding hands with a thai girl and also another thai girl who at first i thought was on her own until i noticed they were getting out on the same floor thought he was rather greedy to have 2 hookers but when the doors opened the guy had a friend waiting dirty perves lol.

Decided to ignore our earlier plan of not drinking so much and did a bar crawl starting at Gullivers Travels Tavern ending at our favourite bucket bar hippy's certainly a crawl home, think i may have to limit myself to just 1 bucket from now on....yea right he he

Day 3, 21st January

Did the Grand Palace tour today but after getting in at 2am our tour guide (chatty chatterson) was very friendly and rather enthusiatic, although he spoke english very well it was hard to understand what he was saying sometimes as he spoke so fast. Saw amazing sparkly temples to see all painted with real gold and decorated with Ruby's and Sapphires guarded with statues and in one of the houses on the grounds Queen Elizabeth and the chinese president have stayed. The King must think it too shabby for him though as chooses not to live there!

Off now for some more noodles or rice but NO cocktails tonight as up early for our flight to Hanoi tomorrow.
