Have arrived in Koh Samui to a very grey, wet rainy day :((. Am tres exhausted after the epic journey to get here, but will bounce back after a good night's sleep. Was not overly jumping for joy when I set eyes on the place, another quite commercialised tourist trap. Though the saving grace is the bungalow I am staying in which is nestled away from the throng of the trappings of a tourist mecca. The bungalows are set away from it all surrounded by many coconut palms. Hillary, who manages the fast is particularly lovely, so I should have quite an interesting week ahead of me. I am thinking about moving onto Koh Pha Ngan or Ko Tao after the fast, however, I will reassess the situation when the time comes. I hear the weather is tres superb everywhere except Samui and Phuket, but a little rain won't kill me, I'll just have to put getting rid of my winter glow on hold a little longer. Wish me luck, I'm now about to feast on my last supper and I commence fasting tomorrow morning. Bon appetit!
