Hi Everyone! Ok so we have just spent the last couple of days here. We arrived to beautiful weather. Unfortunately my love for it quickly dwindled when we had to walk for what seemed like a good half an hour (it was about 15mins max) to our hostal, while carrying our rucksacks, day sacks and food bag. Oh yes, and i was wearing a wooly jumper. Good move by me there. The hostal isnt in a bad location - only about a 10 or so minute walk into the city. The city itself isnt overly big but its nice. We had a bit of a walk around it in the afternoon. That night we were meant to meet up with Simon - a friend that we met in Argentina - and go to a beach party that night. Unfortunately the last train back to the city centre was at 10.50pm...not quite the time we were looking for considering we were only going to get there at 9pm. Yesterday, due to the lovely weather, we headed over to South Bank, where there is a man made lagoon and beach. It was really nice just relaxing there, reading a book and listening to the ipod. That night we met up with Simon (well about 40mins later than planned as he got off at the wrong train station). We headed to the Valleyfor a meal and to listen to some live music. We headed into a small venue which was cosy. Obviously we arrived at a rather emtional point in the set as the lead singer was sobbing. Thankfully she managed to complete the song and many more after that. The band was very good! Today we headed back to the lagoon for a little more fake beaching, then went back into town for lunch. All very civilised. We are heading off to Noosa tomorrow to stay with my family - cant wait! It will be so nice to be in a house again! Hope you are all well Claire x x
