We spent most of last night listening to the rain thunder down on our tin roof. It faired up a little so we went to Brambuk to have a walk round the creek. We got a little lost but managed to find dozens of Kangaroos chilling out and looking cool. We also saw some wild emus and and deer, though the deer being deer assumed we were going to eat them or something and bolted on first sight.
The rain soon came down again so we sheltered in our van for most of the afternoon. Finally it got better at about 4 pm so we drove to Reed lookout for a look out and it was very impressive - just mountains, creeks and cliffs for miles all around. It was just starting to turn dark, the worst time possible for driving into kangaroos but we risked going to Mckenzie falls. Once again, another amazing waterfall set amongst mountains and trees. It realy was quite dark now though, so we made our way back. The 20km drive back took us about an hour, driving a knackered old automatic van through dark wet roads bending round huge verticle drops, with kangaroos jumping round in every direction, in the night whilst the rain pours down isn't the easiest task we found out.
