Well, todays the moment of truth for Frank. We tok him to Kmart where we had booked him in for a service, it didn't go too well though because it turns out that we booked him for next Tuesday not today! Oh dear. So now we had to set off looking for a mechanic that could fit him in today as we're really anxious to get on the road. We found one who had time to do a service and check him over in the afternoon so we left him there, we were told that with the problems we described, it should cost less than $400 including the service - we could handle that just. Thats why we were a bit dissappointed a few hours later when they rang us to tell us that it would cost about $1400 to get everything fixed! Well, we definatley can't afford that! So it looks like we might not be going to Darwin anytime soon! Our new plan is to now sell the car! So we made a load of flyers and posted them round all the hostels in the city and hopefully we'll get lucky!
