Caught the first bus in the morning from Ipoh to take us to Tanah Rata, which is the main town in the Cameron Highlands. Driving through the mountains was a weavy road with vertical drops on the side of the road! A tiny little bit groggy from the night before and after a lousy 5 hour kip we were up to catch the boat to mainland first thing. Rented a motorbike this morning to drive round and see the island - as most of Malaysia is dense rainforest we had to be extra careful not to run over the monkeys or huge Lizards which were crossing the road. Our first stop was Gumung Machinchang Mountain, the second highest peak on Langkawi. Up nice and early, to get to the travel agents where we were the only 2 people to be put on a minibus and then taken on a 2 hour journey to the city of Saturn.
