Following a restless nights sleep in a boiling stuffy room, itching with bites, we had a look round Melaka town. It's a really historic town with old colonial buildings - you can tell the Dutch were here at some point! It was way too hot for our liking (seriously want a day of cold now) so we didnt stay out too long in the sun. Caught the bus to Melaka this morning which is a historical colonial town, that was once ruled by the Portugese, Dutch, Britain, Japan and now Malaysia! We decided not to book accommodation so wandering round in the hottest sun ever with a heavy backpack and failed attempts on 3-4 hotels was loads of fun! We eventually caught a taxi to a little place called Tony's and thankfully it was available! However...when putting down our bags we noticed something walk...

Another day doing even less than yesterday, only this time we made the big decision to eat at Pizza Hut instead! We did want to go to Genting Highlands, which is basicall Las Vegas in Malaysia, but it would have turned out to way too expensive - had to pay for entrance in the park and then for rides on top! We did absolutely nothing today - just chilled out in the guesthouse lounge area before walking up to the Petronas Towers for a NANDO'S! After stuffing ourselves stupid with chicken we stopped off at the local park where we were surrounded by malay locals all wanting their pictures taken with us! Headed back to the hostel and slouched in front of a dvd for the rest of the night with other travellers.

Caught 2 buses and a monorail early this morning to get us to KL. We checked into a mixed dorm in a really nice hostel and went off to explore the capital. It's so quiet compared to every other city that we've been too, it isnt too big and the people are really friendly and helpful - we'd been walking around for about 5 minutes and had already been approached by 2 people asking if we needed any help!
