We had some breakfast before setting off back to civilisation. After a very interrupted and uncomfortable sleep we were woken up at 6am to go out into the terrential rain for our morning river safari. Out of the 20odd people in our group, only 10 decided they wanted to go on it, including us! Got a taxi this morning to take us to Uncle Tans Wildlife Camp for our jungle adventure! Before going into the jungle we had stopped off at the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary to watch Orangutans in rehabilitation play in the jungle and feed. We saw 5 or 6 in total and they look so cool and happy, from the adult to the baby oragutans. As with everywhere in Borneo it seems, there were also some cheeky long tailed macaques - about 30 of them who stole all the orangu...

After getting back from Turtle Island we had a really quiet and lazy day by spending the whole day in the room at our hostel! Nipping out the odd time for food and drinks!

Walked up to the pier this morning as we had booked a one night stay on a tiny island 40km out to sea so we could have the experience of watching sea turtles coming to shore to lay their eggs and also release new born baby turtles into the ocean! There wasnt anything to do during the day so after a 5min walk which took us all the way round the island and finding 9 eggs by a mother turtle who had been disturbed during the laying process, which we buried, we lazed...
