A tiny little bit groggy from the night before and after a lousy 5 hour kip we were up to catch the boat to mainland first thing. We were hoping to get to Tanah Rata, which is a little town in the Cameron Highlands but the only bus runs at 2pm at Ipoh (half way) and is a good 5 hour journey.

We arrived in Ipoh at about 8pm (the whole journey mostly involved a staring contest with a toddler). There was absolutely nothing to do in the city so after a curry we then had to put up with Malaysian TV before grabbing an early night.
