Woke up to the lazy and sleepy town of Vang Vien and it didn't take long to find a nice bar playing Family Guy serving nice fruit shakes. After some lunch, the heat was getting a bit much again. We were debating between tubing down the river or lying in the sun and in the end we opted to pay a small fee to use one of the posh hotels swimming pools for the afternoon. We'll do tubing another day as we'd forgotten how nice it was to have a swimming pool for the day! The backdrop of the pool was gorgeous too - it looked directly over the river onto 100s of mountains.

After a good earned rest we headed out for the evening, ordering a Pepperoni pizza to share - it wasn't the nicest pizza we've ever had and shouldn't have really been called pepperoni, not when it didn't have one piece of pepperoni on and instead was covered in pineapple and hot pepper sauce!

Again this is another early night town - cant really understand why as all day, all the Laos people do is sleep anyway! So after a wander down the main strip we headed back to our guesthouse.
