This is part 1 of 2 cities this vacation. It's Chuck's first trip out to Vegas. Temperature was on the cool side - in the 60's/70's.

Day 1: Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 - We parked at DTW airport and flew non-stop into Las Vegas at 1pm (their time) and took a bus from the airport to our Bluegreen Resort named: Bluegreen Club 36 ....

It's about 1/2 mile behind the main strip. It has a shuttle that runs every hour for free pickup and dropoff to several strip hotels. The room was very large and colorful. We unpacked and got settled in. Took a non-bus to the Fremont experience (old vegas) and Chuck ventured on a zip line while I took pictures. Then a little gambling and some free casino money at the D. Grabbed a late dinner and off to bed.

Day 2: Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 - We went to one of the Bluegreen Owner Updates and bought more points making us Premier Silver Bluegreen Owners - WOO HOO. They gave us tickets to 2 shows and a $75 prepaid visa card. We had a bagel at Einsteins and took the shuttle to the main strip. Chuck played blackjack and won while Cheryl lost $40 in a matter of minutes on the slot machines. Used our show tickets to top floor fancy casino with a view.

Day 3: Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 - We walked up one side of the strip and down the other hitting most of the casinos. Stopped for drinks, lunch, gambling, watched the Bellagio water show, the pirate ship show at treasure island and had appetizers in a Coyote Ugly bar. Tomorrow we head to Oceanside to visit Mikey and Stef. (See part 2 of this blog).
