3 day/2 night weekend getaway for Maretta & Tylor Colvin's (same day) Birthday!

Cheryl stopped at GFS after work on Friday and loaded up on some food and beverage provisions. Chuck got home and we ate some leftovers, then packed up the 2012 Ford Escape for our journey up to Boyne (about 3 hours away). Maretta and Tylor got to our house about 8:30pm and off we went.

Arrived about midnight and we all crashed for the night in our fabulous rooms. Up early Saturday, for what was sure to be the last decent weather day of the year. Big breakfast (Cheryl cooked) and then we took a ride into Gaylord for the afternoon. Did a little sightseeing and local shopping, then back to Boyne for dinner and a hayride around the area after dark. Made some smores in the fireplace at the resort.

Sunday we left for home about 11am and got a pretty thorough rain soaking all the way home. Stopped in Frankenmuth and Bronners on the way for a sweet tooth fix, some cheese samplings and continued on, returning home about 5pm.
