22 hours. 22 hour long train ride. 22 hours with nothing more than a crampt bunk bed, an India Guidebook to read over and over again and an obscured view of the Uttar Pradesh countryside.

I shouldn't have even made the train! I literally had to jump onto the train at Haridwar station, my Vikram was slowed right down in a massive traffic jam in Haridwar and so I literally got to the station as the train was leaving.

I did manage to sleep some 7 or so hours, but I'm still exhausted from doing nothing... The main issue was that it was excrutiatingly dull! I couldn't really speak to anyone either as everyone could only speak Hindi.

Still, made it to Varanasi! Delhi on steroids. Campfires by the side of the road, people sleeping on binbags outside glitzy super modern shopping malls. Constant chaos everywhere. Let's bloody well hope it was worth the journey!!

P.s. I did manage to fall flat on my side at quite a speed on exiting the train thanks to a small trip. Got a few grazes. And loads of insect bites (which of course are unrelated...)
