Today we went to St Paul's Cathedral in the morning via the underground train.St Paul's Cathedral was where Charles and Di got married. Following this we caught a City Cruise ferry to Greenwich along the Thames river. Today we played tourist and bought a hop on hop off bus ticket to travel around London to see the sights. After our busy day of walking yesterday, we needed the rest..... The hop on, hop off bus takes about 3 hours to complete and covers over 50 tourist attractions. Today we took in sites that we had not seen previously including the London Bridge, Tower of London,St Pauls Cathedral, Mayfair, Park Lane,Kennsington Palace, Notting Hill and even a stop at Harrods....

Despite a late night, we were up and about early. We decided to walk around the tourist sites and went to Westminster Abby, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. Buckingham Palace is just like you see in the photos - although we took the opportunity to walk around the perimiter of the palace and I have to say the perimeter looks more like a jail than a palace.... We had breakfast overlooking the Serpentine Lake in the middle of Hyde Park. We spent over an hour walk...

Happy birthday Mary!!! We hope you had a great day.... For us it was time to leave Cyprus and begin the next part of our trip. We were up early - 5.15am and Chris kindly drove us to the airport for our 8.15am flight to London. It was sad leaving Cyprus, we had a fantastic time there and Chris and Mary the perfect hosts. Thursday 25th of August.Following breakfast, we had a quick walk around the shops and headed to the beach for a swim - the weather here has been amazing - 38 degrees today and clear blue skies every day.....hard to take if you love the warm weather and the beach life. I now know why the Mediterranean Sea is so popular with the Europeans. Although it is funny spotting all of the English people here - their skin is either white as snow or they are burnt to a crisp....
