Thursday 25th of August.
Following breakfast, we had a quick walk around the shops and headed to the beach for a swim - the weather here has been amazing - 38 degrees today and clear blue skies every day.....hard to take if you love the warm weather and the beach life. I now know why the Mediterranean Sea is so popular with the Europeans. Although it is funny spotting all of the English people here - their skin is either white as snow or they are burnt to a crisp.
Following a quick swim in Protaras, we drove to the next sea side resort of Agia Napa.
Just when I thought Cyprus couldn't throw any more surprises at us, the Golden Greek has done it again!
We headed down a dirt track off the main road, to a local beach, where we proceeded to spend the remainder of the day. This beach had a nice shack selling cold beers, food and other beverages.....it was like being in the Caribbean - they even had reggae music playing!
Just like all of the other beaches, the waters were clear and warm, the added bonus this time was that we had the use of the shack, so we spent the afternoon drinking beers, eating, and swimming - a perfect finish to our time here in Cyprus.
We left Agia Napa and returned to Nicosia to have our last night here in Cyprus with Chris and Mary.
They have been fantastic - taking us everywhere, showing us everything and treating us to their local customs. The week could not have been better and we are so pleased to have taken the time to come over and see them.
I really can recommend Cyprus to anyone!!!!!!!
