Gosh these blogs are in popular demand, I may have to start charging! Ill make this snappy as I have about 5 would be internet users circling me like sharks. And Ive had an expresso (Pacific Coffee Company Chillino Mocha Expresso - Ive decided having a brownie blended into my coffee every day is probably not ideal for the waistline) so Im speeding through anyway. The more time I spend in Honkers the more I like it and I think, should I ever reach the crying-on-the-metro stage in London again this might be the nest place on the career itinerary - its pretty darn cool - 'Asia's world city'.
What have I been doing, hmm - shopping, lots of shopping, very bad news, very bad idea. I had a fantastic massage that was absolute agony, she actually climbed onto my back to make sure she could dig her thumbs in all the harder. I did a lot of silent screaming but it definately woke me from my slumber :) I may go back.. A girl from Chicago in my dorm has been a good partner in crime during hong kongs ladies nights - free drinks for women all night every wednesday and thursday. Amen to that. Ive been to the history museum twice and am going to have to go back a third time to finish it off. Absolutely fascinating history - I cant believe how little I knew about HK and the mainland prior to this trip! Went to the Tiannamen Square memorial/protest and whats weird is that when I actually went on a tour to the square in China they didnt mention what had happened AT ALL. So we lit a candle and stuff in remembrance. Erm what else, I had my haircut at a local salon, that was brave. Ive eaten in local restaurants and also the cheesy ones for westerners in Central, drank some good wine there too, had some good conversations.
Next stop is Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam where im volunteering for Cosmic Volunteers for perhaps the next month. Really looking forward to the challenge :)
Hope everyones well, this dude peering over my shoulder is freaking me out. Time to go..
