I have arrived in Singapore and this is a great way to leave Asia I think, it is a great city and leaves you will a great last impression. The country is so small the city is also tiny but it is just wonderful, so modern and clean and full of life. While in the city I did quite a bit of walking, despite the hot weather. I visit the Muslim quarter and see a beautiful Mosque and lot of stunningly colourful clothes shops. I also head down to Marina Bay this area is surrounded but lots of the posh hotels and high skyscrapers, it feels like you could almost be in New York. In the evening there was a Light show over the water. Well it was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen; there were water fountains, videos played on the water of babies and singers and all sorts, there were bubbles blown, fire cannons and music playing. Although odd it was a rather enjoyable experience. I spend the rest of my time here in the shopping centres, it was just like home all the same shops (same prices too) and a welcome relief to be in the air conditioning and out of the heat. I am only here for less than 36 hours and it is then time to take the big leap to Australia!!!
