Smarties travels
hey everyone,
just to let you know, i love laos!!!
i've been in luang prabang now for about 4 or 5 days, i don't really know because it's so chilled out here that all the days seem to blend into one!
as you can probably see from the photos i'm enjoying myself, a little to much!! i met a guy from leeds called james on my first day here and we've done next to b***** all for the last few days. the night after heavy drinking (the photos) i woke up late feeling like s***e and i think still a little drunk. i walked the hangover off by looking at some temples around the town, the place is litterd with them, and then bumped into james again, we spent the rest of the day relaxing in a bar letting the world pass us by. since then i've done next to nothing. we spent an afternoon in a movie room watching 'old school' and 'pheonix nights', but most of the time were sitting outside a resturant/bar drinking and talking rubbish, so it's right up my street!
today i went to the waterfall with a 5 other people. it was really nice there. on the way to the waterfall you get to see some black bears and a tiger. the tiger is amazing, we were there for feeding time aswell, just great! the waterfall was stunning but it did piss down with rain the entire time we were there so it made it interesting walking up to the top slipping all over the place, but even more funny trying to get down. i don't know how but i managed to stay on my feet the whole time, but the girl behind me decided it would be best to just slid from the top to the bottom on here ass, you should have seen the state of here at the bottom. because it was raining really hard we decided to go back pretty soon after the climb. sod's law, 5 minutes down the road the sun came out and now it's absolutely roasting!!
i think i'll be here today and then probably head off to vang vien tomorrow, but who knows, i'll see how it goes. oh yeh, another bit of good news i got yesterday is that now the working holiday visas for australia last for 2 years so this little trip might be that much longer.
speak to you all soon. christopher.
