Arrived in Singapore on the 7 th March 2008 kicking back on our VIP bus! Leg room a plenty. Staying in the Fragrance Hostel, it was full of characters. Dumped bags and headed out for a look around Singapore. Checked out Clarke Quays first, identified many a happening place, but decided to save it for a big one on Saturday. Crusied over to China Town for a meal. After meeting a waitress who did not understand "give us 2 mins" we were forced into ordering a selction of Chinese delights. Very nice meal and got to watch Alladdin work his magic on the icecreams. After that, headed home for an early night, not before discovering the MRT (underground).

Second day, went for a big shop. Matt snapped up a lady magnet shirt from the Levi's store. Also went to the Fountain of Wealth (it is no Disney Land). Had a look around the Marina before heading back to Little India (where we were staying) where we discovered the Banna Leaf at the Appollo. This was quote on quote the nicest curry we ever had, however the Vindaloo could have been packing more heat as Matt sank it with ease.

Stomach lined we went out for a night in Clarke Quays. Matt caught up with his Triple Crown to meet Luke and Chris sinking the wife beaters in One Night Stand. Headed over to the Clinic for some pints in wheelchair action. Chris clearly has'nt got his wheelchair licence as a nudge to the table led to calls "sack to juggler". Two pints went down.

Ended the night at the Pump nightclub. Good music until the band came on, and we are still questioning what dishwasher water they filled our $30 shots with!

Next day, got up early (12 pm) and headed to the zoo. As passing the gift shop the heavens opened, the guys made a sensible decision of snapping up some umbrellas. 5 mins later Luke was sporting Tony the tiger "feeling gggggreat" and Chris with a Kermit the Frog impersonater. Matt's suprise animal turned out to be a racecar. Whilst comedy value was high practicallity was 0. They were kids unbrellas and we still got soaked. Many an animal was spotted. The highlights being the sex show put on by the baboons (with foreplay), the cheeky Jags, KFC and bloody good helping of Ben and Jerry's. After being thouroughly warn out from the zoo we headed back to get the glam rags on for Raffles. At 300 pounds a night we breezed straight in and to the bar for a decent helping of monkey nuts, and three original Singapore Slings. Tastey!

Weather was terrible on Monday so we hit the Cinema. There will be blood was the film of choice (it was that or nothing) which was good. However the gentleman behind did not share the same view as 20 minutes in he was snorring like a train! Classic. After the film it was pretty much straight to the night safari. Again hammering down, so Tony, Kermit and the Car were back in action. We were laughed at consistantly. Awesome tram ride round the park - seeing some good animal action in the dark. Followed that with an hour long stroll around the sights and hit the Night Safari show to round off. Cracking show even if the MC was a Singapore styled Dale Winton. On route to bus someone either tripped or we were pushed but it was back to Ben and Jerry's. Nice.

Last day in Sigapore we had a big one planned. However rain determined that we stayed in bed till 12 and hit the Bannana Leaf Appollo for breakfast/ lunch. Again did not dissapoint. With rain continuing to effect play, we resorted to an indoor activity - cards. With nothing left to do we headed off to the airport with six hours to spare hoping the rumours were true and that it was free stuff galore. This is partially true hence this blog post!

We're now geared up for Oz. Had some trouble getting our A Game through customs but we managed in the end! Cairns here we come!
