Day 17 ... Started the day with a 5-hour train journey from Prague to Bratislava. Beautiful countryside on the journey. Forests and mountain ranges. Old towns with tiny stations. Rolled in to Bratislava at 5pm. To my surprise Slovakia has adopted the Euro! Checked in... real nice hostel. Free breakfasts! Beer for €1,22! Walked round the Old Town area of the city down to the Danube river. Watched the sunset on the riverbank. Found a local bar showing Slovan Brat...

Day 16 ... Lazy day today. Walked round the Old Square and Wenscelas Square and explored the local markets. Astronomical Clock in the afternoon. Amazing views over Prague. Perfect blue sky too. Rigerovy Sady Beer Garden in the evening, literally 2 minute walk from my hostel! 0.5l beer for 29CK (£1). Watching Bayern Munich v FC Zurich then Barca v Real. Got back to hostel to find everyone else in my room had checked-out so had the room to myself!

Day 15 ... trip to Kutna Hora to see the 'Bone Church'. A small chapel in a little town. Church is made from stone and wood but decorated with the bones of 40,000 people. It is thought every bone in the human body has been used. The most impressive part was the chandelier. Also saw two gothic cathedrals. Pub crawl in the evening. Started in a old derelict church. Moved on to a couple of trendy bars. Free shots on entry though!

Day 14 ... Slept on the train from Budapest to Prague. That was good. Great countryside though. Rolled into Prague (Prar-gooey) about 7pm. Checked in. Had dinner with Hannah and Theo. Walked round Old Town Square and waked up to the palace on top if the hill. Very romantic city. Played some cards and listened to the Fleet Foxes. Had a Duff beer.

Day 13 ... trip to Momento Park this morning on the outskirts of Budapest. Think Crystal Palace when they had the dinosaurs... except instead of dinosaurs, communist dictators! Lenin, Stalin, etc. Beautiful, hot day. Back into town for local markets. United game in an Irish pub. Back to the spa again in the evening... we need these at home... that would cease the rioting! Went past Puskas Stadion in the way back to town. Had a few drinks in a bar on the way back ...
