Day 27 ... Arrived in Bled early than planned, but so glad I did. Amazing location, beautiful weather... 'a piece of nature'. Bled happens to be hosting the World Rowing Championships this week so it's a lot busier than normal, but still remarkably peaceful. 8km walk round the lake, got some great pics from some great spots. Found the George Best Back Packers Inn for the game in the evening. Walked up to Bled Castle after.

Day 26 ... Local produce market in the morning. Tivoli park and Ljubljana castle in the afternoon. Really hot today. And then... thunderstorm in the evening. Early night, Bled tomorrow.

Day 25 ... Arrived into Ljubljana about 6pm. Checked-in. Walked round the town in the evening. Found to watch the Barca v Porto Super Cup game 'al-fresco' style... this watching football outside in the summer could catch on you know! One of the bridges across the river has had 100s, if not 1000s of padlocks locked onto it. Hannah told me this is a sign of love, something that cannot be broken. Interesting. Day 24 ... Travelled from Salzburg to Munich with Hannah to meet up with Eve, the American girl we'd met in Bratislava. Explored the town in the afternoon, had dinner, then went to Hofbrauhous, Munichs oldest beer hall/beer garden. Beer served by the liter!

Day 23 ... Eagles Nest tour today. Hitlers WWII hideout, 1834m in the mountains in Bavaria on the Austrian-German border. Stunning views. Watched Sound of Music at the hostel in the evening, when in Salzburg... . Off to Munchen tomorrow.
