Our next stop was Madison, Wisconsin. We read this city had lots of great microbrew pub so we rolled into town and parked the truck and trailer at a park downtown. We decided to keep up with getting a geocache done in each state we passed through and looked one up and it happened to be right in the park we stopped in. So yes we are turning into geocache geeks at this point but it was a pretty sweet hide. Anyways after we found that we decided to head for some good beer and food. We ended up at the Great Dane brewpub and enjoyed some good eats and a couple of pints of Wisconsin's finest. The funny thing was that outside our pub was Madison's gay pride party. Of all things to stumble on in Wisconsin. We checked it out and it wasn't much yet because it was early so we walked back to the truck and hung out in the park for a bit. We then walked back along the water and witnessed a beautiful rainbow on the water. ( I guess rather fitting for the occasion ) We made our way back to the party and it had picked up some. We took in the shw on the stage and people watched for a bit. Interesting crowd thats for sure. It was getting a bit late and we had a bit of a drive ahead of us so we headed back to the truck. We hit the road and made it a couple hours down the road when not even blasting Queen was keeping us awake. We parked in a truck stop and crashed for the night. Next Stop Minneapolis, and then the Outlaw Trail.
