Finally we got out of Indiana and entered Illinois. Big plans to stay at chez walmart Chicago. REALLY should do more research next time.

We decided to save a few bucks and not use toll roads (it only came to an extra 5 mins of driving time over the hour trip) sounds good right? well if you're not using the I-90 then you're driving on just secondary highways or throught the city on half-finished roads. The photo we uploaded is of the crime rate areas listed from green (good) to red (sure death.) Guess where we drove through? Yeah, all the red parts. The roads were barely finished, houses were boarded up, and never were we the same colour as those around us. We got a lot of looks, but we just kept to ourselves, and definitely didnj't get out of the nice white shiny truck hauling an attention grabbing trailer. We thought, let's keep driving, it can only get better, I'm sure the walmart will be in a good neighborhood. Well it wasn't.

It seemed to be located in an area called 'garfield park,' see red part of map... and when we asked the only people that looked like they weren't going to kill us what we should do, they simply said "go now. drive as far from here as you can. start heading west. I don't want to hear about the two of you shot and dead in the paper tomorrow."

oh my. and all we wanted was some deep dish chicago pizza
