Decided to head to great falls, MT instead of going to Scobey, MT. Larger border crossing and couldn't find any information on the Outlaw Trail in the states. I guess it's more of a canadian thing?
All the roads that wind up northward towards the border are smaller one lane roads that run through baby american towns. Problem with that is they don't usually come with 24 hour gas stations... The distances started to get longer between the towns, and so did the population.
Found a 24 hour gas station in Lewistown at about 2200, and decided to just stay the night. Too many deer on the road, and poor visibility. It's gets really dark and fast out here. Beautiful sunsets though!
Parked in a 'shrimp and chicken' resto parking lot for the night, and got up bright and early.
Plan for today is to take in the sights in Grand Falls then head up to Calgary. We're about 200 km from Grand Falls only.
Should be fun!
