With an early start we started our first day on the Disney Dream. Tired, cold and rather peckish we arrived at Port Canaveral to see the Disney Dream in all her might and wonder (oh and magic of course).
Lite up at the harbour it glistened like a 30 tone Christmas tree. A christmas tree that cones with a stateroom and waiters, and with a Captain, Mickey Mouse.
The training has lasted and been spread out over the past few days. Adjusting to the sea, the cabin sizes and the labyrinth that makes up the "back stage" areas has been quite easy.
We have docked at both Nassau and Castaway Cay. Both times I did not have time to disembark but we visit these locations twice a week so it's no biggie.
The sun is amazing. The small amount I get to see is not ideal but an hour or two daily is fine. I'm looking at it in a positive light. At least I don't end up with an unbearable sunburn. This way I enjoy it and slowly but surely return to my younger-years colour.
Crew gym is pretty good. Food is the best I've had from an employer and the other crew members are great.
The next few weeks are going to be quite enjoyable, I'm sure :)
