We did it - to coin a phrase from LM.

Off we set with our sleeping bags and food for 2.5 days - girls carrying their own stuff - CT & I carrying the rest and we walked total of 22km in all weathers - rain, wind, sun to the Routeburn Hut at 1000m - Falls. LM managed to walk 6k the first day. We tried out the packet food you see in Millets - yes it is horrible! More update from girls later.
