Chris & pauls world trip
We left Honolulu just after midnight and arrived in Fiji at 0.5.20 Fiji time , it was a 6 hour flight and we left on the 21st but arrived on the 22nd work that one out! somewhere along the way we lost a day and we can't find it anywhere. We were shattered when we got here and then we had a 2hr bus journey to our resort, we went straight to bed for a couple of hours to recover. At last we have found that place called paradise, words can't describe how beautiful it is here. The Fijian people are so warm and friendly, they are always saying Bula to you which is their traditional greeting. We went to a village about an hours walk up the coast, we were shattered when we got there with the heat but it was worth it with the welcome we got. They performed a greeting ceremony which was a lot of singing and dancing and drinking from the Kava bowl, it tasted like mud but you had to have a drink so as not to offend the chief. They prepared lunch for us cooked in an underground oven and said we couldn't leave until we had eaten it all. They are really wonderful people and they made us feel part of their village.
The resort we stayed in was great and we spent the week lazing around and recovering from our hectic schedule. Next update from Australia.
P.s thank you for all your messages and emails, sorry we can't reply to you all but keep them coming, it's nice to hear from home.
luv Chris and Paul xxxx
