Yet again we were on our way back to a beach. Having sat for an hour or two in the KL bus station, sweating profusely, our bus driver thought we were in need of some pretty strong air conditioning & turned it up full blast for entire night time journey. We tried to get some sleep wearing our kags towels & just about everything we were able to find in our little bags... didn't really work very well!

We got there in the end though & it was worth it. The place we stayed (can't remember it's name) was surprisingly built up compared to a lot of the Thai islands, proper concrete piers & everything.

We got a decent little bungalow that was actually half on the beach & spent a very nice few nights there. It took us a whole day to realise there was another little island about 2 miles straight in front of us because of the haze problems they've been having due to Indonesian fires or something.

We were very surprised to see some rather large water Monitor lizards swimming in the little inlet from the beach - they even came up to the path & scared the local cat population.
