We might even come back....
hello
Been in luang prabang for a few days now, and we LOVE it! Yesterday we took a boat (yes, another one!) up the Mekong for about 30km to see the pak ou caves. Think Chris already put the photos on? They were amazing, caves formed in the limestone that were made into a shrine by the local villages. It looked to us like a rest home for unused buddha's..... very religious place for the locals though.
Today we went about 30km the other way to swim in a waterfall. It was really really cold, but i braved it and we had a good old swim! It was the biggest waterfall i had ever seen - unfortunately we didnt take the camera (whoops) so you'll have to trust us that it was amazing.
Next to the waterfall was a small animal sanctury, housing rescued bears and a tiger. A very chuffed Chris got to stroke the tiger! Couldnt believe how close they let him to it, it would never be allowed in England. Apparently it was quite tame?????
We leave Luang Prabang now for the town of Vang Vieng....
bye
