Hi all
Well, I must say it has been a while since I have posted on my Blog but to be honest I really have not been to many places since I last posted. The last couple of months have really been more about work, but as I have quite a few trips in Asia planned over the next coming months I am sure you will see a lot more on here. Ive been to London for work and now I am back in Asia for my final couple of months before I come back to the UK, and I plan on making the most out of my time here.
So last friday night I headed to the plane for a flight to Hi Chi Minh where I met with a couple of friends and stayed the night before having a lovely breakfast of egg and sausage, yummy! Then we headed to the airport to make our way to the final destination of an Island called Phu Quoc. When we touched down at the airport the weather was gorgeous which is always a sign of a great holiday and we were met at the airport and then taking to our accomadation. There was 5 of us in total and we stayed at an amazing place which was right on the beach! We had to huge cottages and were blessed for the whole holiday with great sunny weather.
I have to say the weekend was very relaxed and I think the most relaxed I have ever felt in Asia, we spend the saturday on the beach and eating some fantastic food both in the resort and out with the locals. It was soo cheap, I loved every minute of it! Then on the sunday it was pretty similar but we managed to watch the Rugby final, which was fun, even though it was a pretty dull game. We made our way home on on the monday and I was so sad to leave.
Given the chance, and being in Asia again, I would 100% stay at the same place, just to the immense sense of calm and relaxation.
So, workwise, everything is going really well at the moment, I am getting involved in loads of different things because of my role change and I just can't believe how fast my time here is gone, though I really look forward to getting home and seeing my family and friends, and also my gorgeous boyfriend :).
So this weekend is a long weekend in Manila, 4 days off! I didnt manage to get anything booked so fingers crossed we actually have some good weather and I can top up the tan, and also get some shopping (the hazards of being in a location where the malls are HUGE).
I will be back on the blogging soon so watch this space :)
Over and out!
