Hi Everyone,
I am back again updating you on my trips away! And yes the photo was taken in Manila, me with a glass of pink Moet courtesy of Heather my good friend. I chose this photo as my legs somehow look really long!#
So down to business, again, leaving friday evening I was excited to see Heather and have a nice relaxed weekend where I was promised a foot spa and a curry, yes this is what I will travel for. So on saturday after a good sleep in Heathers lovely apartment we headed out to have a quick look for a dress for my Christmas party, I wasnt sure I would find anything but thought we would check it out. The first store where we went (Tangs) was where I found 2 fantastic dresses, a great start to what turned out to be a pretty perfect day actually.
Following this we met up with a work colleague for a spot of lunch with a view out to Sentosa and me and Heather shared some Dim Sum... I wanted more after HK! Nxt on the agenda was the much anticipated foot spa.. it lived up to what I was promised and was my birthday treat from Heather. My feet felt so soft and smooth after, its a tough like being in a hot country as wearing flip flops all the time makes your feet as rough as some old leather.
After this, the oblligatory tacky gift buying in China Town where I bought some excellent "I Love Singapore " T-Shirts, and yes you will be seeing me wearing these sometime soon when I get back to the UK! We then headed back to Heathers for some downtime before curry. No sooner had we got back then it started a huge downpour, perfect timing from us! We enjoyed a ncie festive film of "The Holiday", what a classic, before heading to dinner with a group of work friends. It was such a good curry, I still have dreams about the garlic butter Naan... Heaven.
The night was topped off with some pink champagne as I mentioned earlier, and a civilised game of Mar Jong, I have totally spelt that wrong, but this is a chinese game with tiles but it is kind of like a card game, really good and I am glad I know how to play it....Sleep time.
Sunday started well with a brunch at TWG, OMG! It was soo good, Quiche to die for, followed by yet another cream tea, and the more cakes. It was sooo good. And yes, by now you realise I love my food and that I am particularly partial to a cream tea, this comes from years and years of holidays to cornwall, particularly St.Ives. I am looking forward to the real thing when I get back to the UK, they don't have the Rhodda's clotted cream in Asia.
And finally back to Heathers for my first viewing of the final Harry Potter film, Perfect weekend yet again!
To top this off, Heather introduced me to a fab series of booked called The Hunger Games... read them, they are amazing and the film is due out soon so get going!
Right, this is Over and Out for my second trip to Singapore....
Next, Bohol (The Philippines)
