Remember when I said I had a feeling today was going to be a good day? Well I sure have amazing instincts. Yesterday we were told Vin Diesel was going to be recieving a star on the hollywood walk of fame at 11.30am right outside our hotel. So we decided to postpone universal studios for a day and I begun to wonder what it would be like if I actually had a chance to meet him...I was hopeful but also highly doubted it.
BUT, as soon as I woke up I chucked my dress on and headed downstairs where they were already setting up for it and people were forming a line (about 8am) Luckily, I got talking to one of the guys in front who was a celebrity photographer and the brother of the producer of the Jimmy Kimmel show. He told me he would hold my spot so i could walk down to the corner store and buy something for Vin to sign & get breakfast etc. I eventually returned with a Vin Diesel photo and dollar note with Vins face on it and then wasnt long before the guards let us through to the area that the ceremony was going to be. It was so unbelieveable. There was paparazzi everywhere, so many event coordinators & managers/publisists and the streets were filled with the LAPD. Thanks to the skills mums tought me (hehe) I was able to push and squeeze my way right to the front so I was literally in the very front row. I couldnt get any closer if i wanted to :D After a long wait Vins family (who are gorgeous), the stunt doubles from Fast & Furious and even more paparazzi arrived and things started to get very intense and exciting. Standing out in the sun for so long was not great and I was getting sunburnt, thirsty and restless but there was no way in the world I was going to miss this.
About an hour later Jordana Brewster (plays Mia in F&F) arrived. She was by far the prettiest women ive ever seen and her amazing personality made me love her even more. As she walked up towards where we all were everyone started shouting her name, shoving microphones and photos for her to sign in her face and she did what ever she could to please everyone. Then a few moments later Michelle Rodriguez came and the crowd got even crazier. She ended up signing my photo of her that one of the photographers gave me and i even got a photo with her! She was so sweet and seemed like an amazing person.
Then the real fun started...Vin Diesel arrived :D It was so hectic and such a thrill. He is so handsome omg. He gave his speech, did the hollywood thing and long story short, he signed my note. Unfortunately I didnt have time to get a photo with him however I did make sure I touched his arms (it was literally on my bucket list) and when I spoke he obviously recognized my accent, then asked where I was from and told me he loved australia. It was such an incredible moment that ill never forget. When we went back to the hotel, I didnt realise at the time but Vin was actually in the function room downstails 'having a cigar' and a few drinks to celebrate. I was so hot and tired, all i wanted to do was go back to the hotel room. But poppa offered to stay down there to try and get another opportunity for him to sign my poster.
A few hours later poppa returned to the room and it didnt look like he had succeeded in getting anything more but then he suprised me by turning the poster around and in huge writting Vin had not only signed it, but wrote 'Chloe, make it happen' (it was a part of his speech about dreaming big and making dreams come true). I jumped up and gave poppa the biggest hug! I was so happy and excited, i dont think i stopped smiling all day. (until about 5minutes later when i thought all my photos had been erased off my camera...false alarm thank god!)
After i had calmed down and come back to reality, nanna and i decided to take a bus down to Melrose avenue. On the way we stopped at a Designer shoe outlet store, I have never seen so many shoes in my life. It was incredible and of course i spent $200 there. By the time we got to Melrose I was running out of money so I had to be strict with myself and shopping. The shopping there was unreal which made it very hard but i did buy some amazing clothes and had a realy great time.
I am absolutally loving L.A. and never want to leave! The days keep getting better and better; tomorrow we're off to universal studios!
