So today is the last day of the tour. The tour group has left to return to England and I'm waiting for my train back to Grenoble.
Paris has been incredible! We arrived on Friday night and went to see the Eiffel Tower all lit up and afterwards I joined some of the tour goers for a night out in the Latin quarter. The next morning, Saturday, we started our day off with a visit up the Eiffel Tower. It was really cool!! It was amazing to see how huge this city is. After that, I had a nice lunch in a cafe by the Eiffel Tower. We finished out outing with a visit to the arc de triumph. I didn't realise how big it is... And I really realised it after climbing the never ending spiral staircase to the top. But the view of the champs élysées and the city was worth it!
We then took the metro back to our hotel to get ready for the last night out as a group. It was a really fun night.
It's crazy to think how I became close with so many people in the tour in only nine days... Especially my roommate Steph. I'm going to miss my contiki family!!
Looking back on this week as a whole is mind blowing! This was the most fast paced, mind blowing week of my life.
I visited 6 countries - Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France - in 9 days! I experienced Amsterdam nightlife, I drank German beer, in one day I had breakfast in Germany, lunch in Austria and dinner in Italy, I rode a gondola in Venice, I slept in a jail in Switzerland and finally I saw the Eiffel Tower! So many new experiences and friends that I will never forget!!
