Well, I cant believe it is finally the day I leave Ayr, it feels like I have been building up to this moment for a lifetime!

Today I will make a journey down to London to see some of my family and then on Wednesday I fly out to Beijing with all the other China volunteers! Its finally becoming very real..

Now, the hardest part so far for me has been packing an entire years worth of clothes into a small 20kg rucksack.. Now thats usually the weight limit i'd want to have for a two week holiday.. not a whole year! So I spent a good couple of hours with my mum shoving clothess into the bag and trying to make everything fit in every space possible! This was genuinely one of the hardest tasks I've done in a while.. but we got there.. eventually!!

The other hard part is of course saying good bye to my family and friends! I haven't actually had to do that yet as i am seeing my friends just before I leave and of course my family will be there... but its almost a given that I'll end up crying!

Anyway, I still have a ton of things to be doing so I'd best be off! Next time I post I'll probably be in Beijing!
