Back in California!!! Where was the sunshine?? It was pouring down from when I arrived until I left with the exception of a few hours!! I kepy warm with the ongoing supply of Starbucks hot chocolate!!!

Im addicted to the stuff. I arrived late afternoon and once id checked in I headed down to the main area and got a tram to Fishermans Wharf and had a wee walk about. The following morning I got up early to do all the touristy things. I headed up for my morning hot choc in the pouring rain and purchased a well used umberella!!!! I bought a days travel ticket and headed to the port where I caught the ferry to Alcatraz. It was only about a 5 minute ride. Was a fab few hours. I did an audio tour which took you around the jail. I learnt loads about it. When outside there was fab views of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge.

The rest of the day I seen Union Square, the worlds most crookedest street - Lombard Street, Alamo Square where theres loads of Victorian houses, China Town. headed around the shops on Market Street. Lunch that day I had soup in a bun it was lovely, mad eating soup from a roll though haha. It got that wet at one point during the day I was on the cable car and was soaked through, it was mad as at that point at looked up and there was a sign saying Wetmore Street!!!!

San Fran really reminded me of New York at certain areas. There was loads of high rise buildings, really liked it. It was amazing how much homeless people there was. You seen them everywhere, people begging or with trolleys with all their possesions in!!! We even seen a guy settling down under a bridge one night and it was pouring down!!!!

That night Katherine picked me up from the hotel, we headed to Fishermans Wharf to the Hard Rock Cafe, was a fab night. She was then a wee star and took me to the hotel near the airport where I was staying that night.

I checked in online at the hotel so didnt have to head to the airport until 7.30. My flight was at 9. I enjoyed yet another hot choc and a bagel, something else il miss when I leave America!!! I stopped off at Charlotte for an hour then had a two hour flight to Miami. Was mega excited at the thought of seeing Lesley and meeting her husband.
