Charles & Carmel's Europe Trip 2013
Today we started the day at mass at the local church which was obviously said in Maltese which was hard to follow but was enjoyable all the same.
We then went to the Hypogeum which housed a massive underground three level structure carved in stone which dated back to the first settlers in Malta this was used as a ritual burial site. It was amazing on the size of it and how it was constructed with fools of antler bone and flint rock. We then visited the Tarxian temple which also dated back to this time.
Today we also visited the Blue Grotto which showcased the clarity of the islands sea.
Tonight we went to dinner at St Julian's for authentic Maltese food which was nice but not good as mums.
I will upload some photos tomorrow.
