Today we went back to Valletta to see the cathedral it was breath taking! Every square inch of the church was covered in art or artistic finishings I was trigger happy with my camera unfortunately I was unable to take photos of the most significant artwork due to conservation reasons of some sort? Although we were lucky enough to take photos with out flashes in most other places. The artwork were painted by two significant artists of their time Caravaggio & Preti.
We also went to the Parliamentary State Rooms which was established by the 14 Knights of St. John. There was just as much art in these rooms and as colourful although they depicted scenes of war and parliament. The armoury was in the same building where knights armour was restored and on show along with other war memorabilia from their time.
Tonight we went to dinner at Marsaxlokk for my dads cousins' 69th birthday, this was a nice dinner with 23 family guests; the serving of food was massive and tasted great!
I got to practise more Maltese with the family although they all new English quite well.
