Hello once again! We got back to Spain yesterday afternoon after a long overnight train from Lisbon to Madrid and then a 3 hour train from Madrid to Seville (or Sevilla as it´s locally known). One thing that you should know if you plan to come to Seville is that it is very, very, very hot in the middle of summer. Get accomodation with functional air-conditioning. Alternatively, do lots of shopping and spend your days in air-conditioned comfort. When we got here ...

We did a day trip yesterday to Segovia which is a little town 2 hours from Madrid. It was very Romanesque in its architecture and a very quiet place. We saw an aqueduct, the alcazar and a cathedral then went back cos there wasn´t much else there. It was good to get out of the cities for a little bit, although the 6am wakeup to get the train there wasn´t great.

Another quick update because we have lot of things to see and do today. In recent news, we've decided to make a short trip to Lisbon, Portugal. At the moment we're only going for day trip and staying on an over night train for two nights... without a real bed because we they didn't ask us if we wanted one... We might try and change our tickets so we can stay overnight there. The Lisbon trip arose because Sonja doesn't like Madrid very much. She keeps talking ...

Hello everyone, We are soon leaving Barcelona :( We´ve seen a lot of Gaudi buildings (look him up on Wikipedia, his designs are wacky but genius) e.g. La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera. We´re going to see a fountain and light show tonight. We went to the beach and ate at lots of nice places. Tortillas! Yum! Okay I think´s I gotta go have dinner! Bye!!! Cheryl

Greetings! We´ve been doing more interesting things since I was last here. Sunday we spent at the beach cos most things are closed on Sundays. Got a teensy bit burnt but not too badly. There was no surf at all so most people were just lying on the beach... some without swimming costumes... Yesterday we wasted the whole morning trying to book our trains to south Spain and up to south France. We kept walking around in circles trying to find the train station and...
