Hellosztok! (I cheated and looked that up on Google cos I didn't know what it was)
We are in Budapest and that was my pathetic attempt at Hungarian. Don't ask me to pronounce anything. The guy at the hostel tried to teach me some this morning but I really just shouldn't try. We arrived here late last night after yet another delayed Austrian train trip. Oh, I should probably update you on our time in Vienna also: We have now made a trip to Cafe Sacher a total of 4 times to eat SacherTorte (twice in Salzburg and twice in Vienna). Amaaazing chocolate sponge cake with apricot jam. It only snowed there on the first night and after that, was much more pleasant than Prague. We saw lots of ornate old buildings, as usual, and went to Schonnbrunn palace. Schonnbrunn palace was possibly my favourite sight on the trip. Do you know why? Because they had MAZES! Not just one but three! This one was actually hard and I couldn't see over the hedges, unlike other mazes I've been to *cough cough* Chenonceaux.... There were also fun games things in the garden and the palace was really nicely decorated too.
Okay, so we haven't seen all that much of Budapest yet due to a very late start from the hostel which resulted in us going out for a late lunch before we went to do anything else. We did see a bridge and some markets and a big Synagogue and the historical centre of the city. That's about it for now...
Hellosztok (It's the same word for both),
