Ciao amici,
Im all alone in the big, bad world! (Sorry for the lack of apostrophes; once again its the foreign keyboards fault). Sonja and I parted ways in Lauterbrunnen yesterday morning. I cant remember exactly what I said in the last blog, but we went parasailing (really fun and spectacular views) and we took a cable cart up to the top of Schilthorn and had lunch in a revolving restaurant. We had an interesting conversation with some actual Swiss people, and had Swiss coffees... Then we took we went back down the mountain with stops in the mountain side villages of Murren and Gimmelwald.
I joined Busabout for my trip from Lauterbrunnen to Lake Como and took a train into Milan this afternoon. Unfortunately, Lake Como wasnt as beautiful as Id hoped. I think the Swiss lakes were prettier, and bigger too. Still, it was nice to have a look around and hope that Id see George Clooney walking along the street. I met an Aussie girl on the bus so we spent the day together. We took the funicular up the side of the mountain overlooking the lake but it was too dark to see anything by 10pm. I took a boat ride out onto the lake this afternoon. Other than that, I just saw a few more churches. It was interesting to see people actually worshipping in the duomo. I havent seen that in any of the churches so far. They even sung a hymn while I was there. I miss church at Kingsford! I havent really done anything in Milan yet so I will stop typing now.
