Berthed this morning at 8.00am. This port is very much a container port. It is also stacked with wood and piles of chips etc. At 6.30am I decided I need to do a walk around the promenade so off I went 2.5 times and I completed 2,500 steps before breakfast.
As we had cruised across from Korea we needed to go through Japanese Customs and Immigration on the port before joining the excursion. I was in the queue that had the slowest man or most particular man checking the passports and fingerprints, and it took me about 50 minutes. I was last on the tour bus but I stillmanaged to have two seats to myself.
However although the customs took so long we still left the port earlier than scheduled for our excursion. It was raining so not the best kind of day to visit a flower park. First we went to a sweet factory and there were plenty of samples, but oh so different. Everything is beautifully packed in to boxes and the trick was checking the weights for travel. I did buy a couple of things though but you had to watch the expiry dates as some were coming due.
Because it was wet today at the flower park we went around in a kiddies style of train and then chose which areas we would walk to. I enjoyed a Nashi Pear ice cream. The tour was a four hour one so we were back for a late lunch at 2.30. There is a show on after dinner but as we have a late dining room sitting we don't get to the shows until 9.45, well past my bedtime. Tonight it is a comedian so qute happy to give it a miss.
Last night we did go and it was a Polish couple dancing Latin American, it was wonderful.
I am persevering with this website and doing it from my phone, sadly I see photos are coming upside down but as they take so long to upload I am leaving them.
We sail in an hour for Kanazawa
