We woke up to a fried breakfast with fruit and this really went down a treat! The sun was shining in the sky and it was HOT!!

So we wondered down to the beach in the last hope of catching some south sun before we went up north! Unfortunately the beach wasn't what we thought it was going to be like, but no complaining, we just lay by the pool (I have definitely now learnt how to make the best out of every situation)!

So after a couple of hours in the sun, the clouds began to descend and the breeze was picking up- so we decided to go and explore! We were really in the middle of nowhere, but we walked about a mile and came to a little mini mart where we grabbed an ice cream (chocolate truffle magnum- definitely now our favorites)! We also saw a little restaurant and popped over to have a look, it was very cheap so we decided that this should be where we would spend dinner!

We wondered back and then just chilled out and got ourselves ready for dinner...now I think a few of you may already know this story whether we called you and told you about it or if you read it on Facebook!

So I was leisurely taking a shower, minding my own business when I felt a little tickle on my leg, I looked down and saw the biggest cockroach I have ever seen! To say I screamed would probably be an understatement- chloe probably thought someone was trying to murder me or something!

So she asked what had happened and I explained there was a cockroach, but the moment I screamed and flicked it off my leg, it ran right into my pile of clothes- I was safe for now!

When I finished my shower, I ran over to my clothes and flipped the little crawler out! Now it was Chloe's time for a shower and obviously this wasn't going to happen unless it was dead! So we used our resources and tried to drown the cockroach or at least make it weak! This worked (well so we thought) and chloe went over to try and out a glass on top to move it, then it's legs suddenly moved and chloe managed to drop the glass and it smashed everywhere (this was actually very very funny)!

It was still alive and chloe refused to shower with it in there! So she walked down to the shower by the pool, but came back after being attacked by the resort dog! So I had to stand up, I had to be the man in a group of two I credibly girly girls. I went in, saw it climbing all over my shampoo bottle- that was it!! I crushed it to death with a sun cream bottle- to say I felt victorious would be am understatement!

But from then on chloe cleared the glass and got her shower and eventually we were ready for dinner!

The walk to the restaurant wasn't so bad even though it was beginning to get dark! E
We got there and has some delicious Thai food. BUT the walk home was slightly more eventful- the first part was fine we were walking home eating our chocolate! Then a few dogs started following us. I don't mind them if they just walk, but there was one who was trying to jump on my, and with sharp paws and potential rabies, I was not happy!

Suddenly we were surrounded by about 5 dogs, chloe managed to escape, so I was left alone! I may have screamed a bit which then meant some Thai men playing snooker came to my rescue! They got in their motorcycles and chased all the dogs away- mainly the one that jumped- ideas very grateful! We managed to make it home in one piece though!

So needless to say for a place in the middle of nowhere- it was a very eventful day! Sleep definitely came very easy!!
