The order of the posts does not seem to follow where we are, as some are done in real time via mobile and some at the end of the day. Nevertheless, this is my excuse for being lazy and late to upload to our blog. (On top of that, don't get me started on time difference and all that crazy stuff happening with planets around the sun, which leads to time travel etc).
So second day in Hong Kong started with rain (for a month where the forecasted rain is 60% we have done pretty good so far, so I am not complaining).
One of the reasons to go back to this place was to taste congee (a local breakfast rice pudding) in cafe Coral (our favourite place was there, in the same place we left it 5 years ago).
BTW, I have to be careful telling you about Hong Kong stuff and stop making things up as I realised my friend Ann (born there) is also reading this blog.
The day was devoted to food and after a good breakfast we walked in the promenade (nice view and an exhibition of HK movie industry) only to get to the next favourite place. Dim Sum at Maxim's.
Another walk up the golden mile (a street full of shops - tottenham court road meats Oxord street) only to get to the Temple market (open late night street market) for some street food ("vromiko" as we call it in Greece).
The day was finished with a few beers back in (tsim sha tsui) promenade to watch the skyscrapers dancing, synchronising their lights to the music. A performance that the video uploaded in this blog does not do it justice.
We have to go to the airport as the plane to Seoul is departing at midnight.
(PS, if you get bored reading, just watch the photo slideshow)
