Okay I was right to be apprehensive, nothing beats a homemade pie! *hint for when I get home* Everything else went great though, the fire was warm and company good! We even got to chat to the owner who has reached the summit of Everest twice! It was amazing to pick his brains. He even explained how he wasn't excited when he got to the top. It was his job to get people to the top and back and he knew most people who died, died on the way down! It was also the first time everyone had been up past 9, so really starting to enjoy ourselves!
Today however wasn't so great! It was only a short distance to Monjo but took us a long time as we had to literally walk through a thunderstorm at 3500m. Not only did this ruin our day but the chances of our flight from Lukla leaving on time look scarce! Gilu has once had to wait 10 days! And I can't afford to wait more than one! Everyone is concerned!
Saying that, our concern over the following days didn't show one bit that evening! Before food we drunk a local Nepalese rice beer which wasn't nice at all! We then had food and moved on to drinking games! After a while we then had a Nepalese spirit which is the rice beer distilled once again! No one knows how strong it was but we had a good amount!
We saw a little stereo and this being Nepal every time we turned it up there wasn't enough power and it turned off! So we decided to save electricity and turn off the lights in the building to turn up the volume!... We spent the night raving with our head touches on! it works really well as a disco! Although for all you party animals wanting to go to Nepal, stay away from the rum! Was horrrrrrible! Even for rum!
